“Gesichter der Geschichte” with José Tomás Vegas in Oschatz

The exhibition “Faces of History” by Venezuelan artist José Tomás Vegas opened on Monday, November 3rd, at the E-Werk Oschatz and will remain on display until December 19th.

The opening last Monday was a great success! Thanks to the many visitors — especially Mayor David Schmidt and Sandra Mosavi from the District Office — it became a truly wonderful evening. A special thanks also goes to the E-Werk team for their excellent organization.

With more than 80 oil paintings portraying Hispanic culture and significant historical figures, the exhibition is a profound source of pride for the Venezuelan community.

A highlight of the evening was Mayor Schmidt’s selection of the Simón Bolívar painting. In addition, the artist presented him with a painting of the iconic Oschatz church and a portrait of the freedom hero Bolívar.
